Rivera and Silva to Compete in World Championships

Dear SKWC Supporter,

The World Championships are upon us! Our SKWC athletes Sebastian Rivera and Joey Silva are primed and ready to compete. Sebastian has earned the #3 seed at 65 kilogram and will be representing Puerto Rico. Joey Silva enters the tournament unseeded at 61 kilograms and will also be representing Puerto Rico.

Sebastian, Joey, and Coach Buxton arrived in Belgrade, Serbia a week ago to acclimate and put the finishing touches on their training. Both athletes are eager to take the mat and compete to their full potential.

4:30 am – 8:30 am – Qualification Rounds through Quarterfinals for Men’s Freestyle – 61-65-97kg.
11:00 am – 11:45 am – Semi-finals for Men’s Freestyle – 61-65-97kg

Sunday, September 18

10:30 am – 11:30 am – Repechage for Men’s Freestyle – 61-65-97kg
12:00 pm – 2:30 pm – Medal Rounds for Men’s Freestyle – 61-65-97kg
