PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Brackets and seeding for the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships, held March 20-22 in Philadelphia, have been released. No. 11 Rutgers wrestling will have seven competitors at NCAAs next week, the fourth consecutive season seven or more Scarlet Knights head to the national tournament under head coach Scott Goodale.
Dylan Shawver (133) earned the program’s highest seed at No. 10 and faces No. 23 seed Sean Spidle (Central Michigan) in the opening round. Dean Peterson (125) is the No. 12 seed – the highest of his career – and opens the championships against No. 21 seed Antonio Lorenzo (Oklahoma). No. 15 seed Joseph Olivieri (141), No. 16 seed Shane Cartagena-Walsh (184) and No. 16 seed Yaraslau Slavikouski (HWT) also earned top 16 seeds at nationals.
Andrew Clark (149) has been seeded 19th, while Jackson Turley (174) is the No. 30 seed. Anthony White (165) is an alternate in his weight class. If any of the 33 entrants at 165 are unable to compete due to injury, White will be drawn into the field.
The opening round of the NCAA Championships begins at 12 p.m. ET from Wells Fargo Center. All six sessions of the NCAA Championships will broadcast on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU.
